GREG FISH, Head Coach:
As a high school coach, Greg has twice been named the North Coast Section
Women’s Coach of the Year by the East Bay Times newspaper group. In
nine seasons as head coach, Monte Vista High School has won six East Bay
Athletic League championships and two North Coast Section championships
while compiling an overall record of 133-33-24. As a club coach for the
top ranked Mustang Soccer League, he has coached two teams to the California
North State Cup Championship. He has coached over 40 players who are currently,
or have previously, played NCAA soccer in college. As a player, Greg played
for the University of Santa Clara where he attended school earning a BSC
and MBA.
JON MOORE, Assistant Coach:
As the assistant coach for Monte Vista over the past nine years, Jon has
been an integral part of the team’s success. Jon brings experience
as a head coach in college at Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Varsity from 1986-1991,
and as various head coach and assistant head coach positions at both Monte
Vista and high schools in the Seattle, Washington area. Jon also has over
14 years coaching and training for Mustang Soccer and Lake Washington Youth
Soccer leagues.
LAUREN ANDERSON, Junior Forward:
Lauren has started all three of her varsity years. Known for her excellent
speed and skill, she has consistently been among the top scorers of the
league and region. She has twice been named to the All Region Team by the
NSCAA. Thus far, she has scored 50 goals and added 18 assists in her career.
In club soccer, Lauren plays for the Mustang Fury which won 1 State Cup
Championship. Lauren has verbally committed to a scholarship offer to play
in 2008 at Brigham Young University.
JENNIFER BUICH, Senior Defender:
Jen has played all four years for the varsity team at Monte Vista scoring
one goal and adding 5 assists from her outside defender position. In club
soccer, Jen played for the Mustang Blast where she was on teams that won
4 State Cup Championships, 1 Regional Championships, one USYSA National
Championship, and 1 US Club National Championship. Jennifer ends her competitive
playing career and will be attending college at the University of Southern
California.
COURTNEY JONES, Junior Forward:
Courtney was injured her entire freshman season after suffering a severe
double break of her ankle at the WAGS tournament. After extensive therapy,
she came back to lead the East Bay Athletic League in scoring for both her
sophomore and junior years and was selected for the NSCAA High School All
America team. Blessed with good size and excellent speed (her father is
former San Francisco 49ers All Pro tight end Brent Jones), she is a strong
force on the soccer field. Thus far, she has scored 34 goals and added 21
assists in her Monte Vista career. In club soccer, Courtney plays for the
Mustang Fury which won 1 State Cup Championship. Courtney has verbally committed
to a scholarship offer to play in 2008 at the University of North Carolina.
SHANNON LACY, Senior Midfield/Forward:
Shannon is a four year starter for Monte Vista. During her career at Monte
Vista Shannon has scored 15 goals and added 15 assists. In club soccer Shannon
played for the Mustang Blast which won 5 State Cup Championships, 2 Regional
Championships, one USYSA National Championship, and 1 US Club National Championship.
Shannon will be continuing her playing career on scholarship at the University
of Southern California.
KATE MOGANNAM, Senior Midfielder:
Kate is a four year starter for Monte Vista and has been a key component
of the Mustang success during her high school career. At Monte Vista, Kate
has scored 17 goals and has had 27 assists. In club soccer, Kate played
for the Mustang Fury which has won 1 State Cup Championship. Kate will be
continuing her playing career at the University of Santa Barbara.
